Islamic Relief is fully committed to protecting the security, privacy and dignity of its orphans and their families. The Child Rights and Protection procedures detailed in this section are in place to ensure the safety and welfare of children, and to offer them protection from exploitation or abuse.
Islamic Relief’s policies are in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). Agreed in 1989, the CRC is the most widely accepted human rights treaty for children. It was ratified by every country in the world, except two.
