Hajj Shamia School

Project Overview

The Hajj Shamia School is in Shkoder, Albania's third largest city, and is the only school in northern Albania that teaches from secular and religious curricula.
It dates back hundreds of years but was closed down when Albania came under communist rule.

After the collapse of communism, Islamic Relief began to support this historical institute by re-equipping it, supplementing its annual running costs and by providing management advice.
