Project Overview
This project aims to improve the living conditions of orphans and to organise social activities for orphans and their families.

Orphans receive clothes, school bags and books, and outings are organised.

Project Background
Islamic Relief donors sponsor orphans in the districts of Tirana, Shkoder and Pogradec, but for many orphans the sponsorship money cannot cover all their needs.

Islamic Relief subsidises the sponsorship by providing clothes, school bags, books, notebooks and other school materials.

IR aid workers also organise picnics and outings for the orphans to improve their self esteem and to take them out of their immediate environment.

Project Objectives

• To improve the living conditions of orphans;
• To organise social events for orphans and their families;
• To ensure a basic education for all sponsored children of a school age.

Project Activities

• Providing orphans with clothes and school material;
• Organising entertaining activities and day trips for orphans.

Beneficiaries
This projects currently serves 450 orphans, both those already sponsored and those waiting for a sponsor.
